CUBA REAL TOURS, founded in 2000, has a Swiss owned and German managed office with currently eight employees (four Europeans) in the Bacardi building in Old-Havana close to all important hotels and works with about 20 to 25 selected, well-trained tourguides (several languages) on freelance base. In addition our office in famous Varadero provides the assistance for clients, who wish to extend their stay with a beach holiday. Our European and Cuban staff both speaks fluently English, German and French. Furthermore most of the Cuban staff has already been to Europe and knows the kind of service Europeans really need.
The head office is open every day of the year, including saturdays, sundays and bank holidays, often also late in the evening, a big advantage to the state agencies, especially if there is any problem outside of the normal office hours.
We offer full onsite service, preferential local rates and atypical activities and are registered with the
Cuban authorities (Cuban ministry of culture) as a foreign tour operator.
CUBA REAL TOURS has individual programs for the sophisticated traveller, groups and incentives, tailor-made, with style and the individual touch. Special interest programs e.g. culture, cigars, history, "Havana Connaisseur", trains, nature, soft adventure etc.
We are a full service agency: hotels, transfers, rental cars, domestic flights, excursions, incentives,
special interest tours, guest assistance etc.
We focus on tailormade tours in the upper market segment. This is our strength because we offer:
- Detailed itineraries in English (or German)
- More sense for details and the special needs of European and Western clients
- Quicker, more precise and more complete responses
- Better communication and understanding in English or German
- Upmarket programs with individual touch and a difference
- accounting: easy invoicing through the accounts office in Switzerland which means payments to a Swiss bank account and therefore no contact with Cuban bureaucracy
- compensating in case of complaints (please note, that Cuban state agencies tend not to pay when there are complaints).
